The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the Bush Administration change in the hours permitted to operate tractor trailer trucks . The Bush adminstration changed the laws to help their friends in the trucking industry . The law was changed to allow truckers to drive 11 hours per day instead 10 hours . The ten hour requirement has been the law for years . Every one who takes a trip knows you get tired driving long distances . Sleep fatique affects good driving . Numerous consumer groups filed suit to set aside the new hours of service law and the Court agreed and struck down the law . It makes me wonder who is protecting your safety the government or the courts ?
