Today , Our office was able to settle a claim againist Greyhound Bus Lines . The accident happened in California , but we were able to file suit in Nashviile , Tennessee . My client was driving a tractor trailer and was rear-ended by a Greyhound Bus in Los Angeles . The case was set for trial in the Federal District Court for Middle Tennessee . It was a unique case in that the accident happened in another state , but we were able to keep the case here for the convenience of my clients. My clients from Lawrence County and the travel would prevent them from getting their day in court . We were able to file here because Greyhound has offices in Nashville . Tennessee has a law that allows a suit to be filed in Tennessee if the bus company has offices within the state .
