The loss of a loved one brings with it a rush of emotions . It is especially true if the loss happens in a sudden or tragic accident . I came across an article that had a few good ideas on how the handle the loss . First , cry . The problem starts when people try to avoid grief . The emotions are bottled up inside you . Grief is not an illness that can be cured . Second , take care of yourself . Be near people . How do we help our children deal with grief ? They need our understanding and knowing that we will be there for them in this time of crisis . Also, I would suggest contacting a grief counselor to help your family in these difficult times . I have helped several famlies that have lost a love one in an accident , but we always need to help the survivors and the family to tolerate the helplessness in the face of a loved one’s suffering .
