Motorcycle Safety

Comments Off

Everyone seems to be riding motorcycles these days . On weekends , I notice a ton of people riding for pleasure .The motorcycle accident cases that I am handling all involve drivers not paying attention to the road. The October edition of the Tennessee Motorcyclist gives some tips for motorcycle safety .

A motorcycle can easily be hidden in a car’s blind spot or masked by objects or backgrounds outside a car . Take an extra moment to check traffic , whether you are changing lanes or turning at intersections . Motorcyclists often slow down by downshifting or merely rolling off the throttle , thus not activating the brake light . Please allow for more following distance . At intersections , predict a motorcyclist may slow down without a visual warning . More safety tips tommorrow .
